Nick Cannon announced the birth of his ninth kid, his third with model Brittany Bell, on Friday.
The actor and producer announced their new addition on Instagram. "WELCOME RISE MESSIAH CANNON 9/23/2022," he added.
Cannon and Bell welcomed a son, Golden "Sagon" Cannon, in February 2017. Their daughter, Powerful Queen Cannon, was born in December 2020.
Cannon also shared a video of the "blessingway" he and Bell hosted to honour their imminent arrival on his Instagram feed on Friday. He said that she introduced him to the concept of the event in which "mighty prayer warriors" speak to God on behalf of the family.
A "blessingway," according to The Birth Hour, is a pregnancy and motherhood celebration that differs from a baby shower in that it focuses on the woman rather than the baby.
"Another Blessing!!!" "As my trip on this earth becomes more spectacular and mysterious, all I can do is thank God," he said in the post.
In addition to his three children with Bell, Cannon has six other living children with four different women. He has 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with his ex-wife Mariah Carey; 1-year-old twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with DJ Abby De La Rosa; a 6-week-old son, Legendary Love, with "Selling Sunset" singer Bre Tiesi; and Onyx Ice Cole Cannon with Lanisha Cole, who was born on September 14.
Cannon and Alyssa Scott had a son, Zen. Zen died with brain cancer at the age of five months in 2021, inspiring Cannon to establish a paediatric healthcare charity.
Cannon went on to confront detractors of his blended family who may find their arrangement perplexing in his Friday Instagram post.
"He has given me responsibility and power over an inconceivable family dynamic." But, more importantly, he has gifted me with caring people to lead me with care through this meaningful existence," he concluded.
Cannon commended Bell's influence to his life, referring to her as "the rock and foundation of my Fatherhood journey."
"She has taught me so much about parenting, psychology, spirituality, love, and simply life in general," he wrote about Bell.
